Nashik, Nov 30: Three employees of Currency Note Press (CNP) Nashik have been suspended in connection with the theft of ten rims of watermarked paper, worth lakhs of rupees, from CNP a few years back. The watermarked paper, used for making currency notes were found missing a few years ago when the annual audit of paper was conducted in the CNP.
The CNP administration immediately informed the Union finance ministry, which immediately appointed a three-member committee for inquiry the missing watermarked papers.
After the inquiry the committee submitted his report to the Union finance ministry.
sources said the store officer, shore keeper and assistant store keeper have been suspended on the order of the ministry.
