Belgaum, June 30: Sambhaji Laxman Patil of Sarvabhashika Samavichar Vedike was today elected as mayor of Belgaum City Corporation with a margin of 19 votes. Patil secured 40 votes as against his rival Dayanand Dinath Karekar of Maharashtra Ekikaran Samithi (MES) and Shiv Sena combine, who secured 21 votes. Sambhaji Patil is occupying the post of the mayor of Belgaum for fourth time. Bureau Report
