WB govt to seek MPLAD funds for disaster management vehicles
Kolkata Oct 13: The West Bengal government has decided to approach the 49 MPs from the state for help in funding disaster management vehicles for quick response in case of natural and industrial disasters.

funding disaster management vehicles for quick response in
case of natural and industrial disasters.
''We will ask all the 49 MPs from the state to give us Rs
10 lakh each from their MPLAD funds for buying disaster
management vehicles. Those are to be used in the events of
cyclones, landslides, floods, waterlogging and industrial
disasters,'' Minister for Civil Defence Srikumar Mukherjee
told newsmen.
