Coimbatore, July 26: Over three lakh books, from some leading publishers, would be on display at the nine-day book fair, beginning here today Over 90 publishers, distributors and sellers, besides manufacturers of CDs, from all over the country, would be participating in the annual fair, being organised by West Rotary Coimbatore, S Krishnaswamy, Book Fair Committee chairman said. The objective of the fair, in association with Bharathiar University, Avinashilingam deemed university and Coimbatore Sellers Association, was to promote literacy and to cultivate reading habit among the public, he said. Books in English and other languages on science, maths, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, law, management, cookery, agriculture, architecture, textile and technical, besides, art and religion would be on display, he said.
