New Delhi, May 29: The VHP today said it was against the concept of reservation in government jobs for all sections, including Muslims. "We have always been against reservations. They act like crutches and communities become dependent on them," VHP senior vice-president Acharya Giriraj Kishore told reporters here when asked about BJP president Venkaiah Naidu's statement that the proposed quota for economically backward sections would also include Muslims.
He, however, said VHP was in favour of reservation for poor people from all communities in the field of education.
Kishore regretted that politicians "would not allow Muslims to get educated for their vested interests".
