Lucknow, Aug 20: Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Arun Kumar Singh Munna today said the Samajwadi Party, which talks of opposing communal forces, now stands exposed following its leader Amar Singh's statement in support of Union Minister Pramod Mahajan in connection with Shivani Bhatnagar case.
"SP always stands by the NDA government whenever it is in trouble," Munna said expressing surprise at Singh's statement in support of Mahajan.

Mahajan yesterday got support from an unexpected quarter when the Samajwadi Party criticised his "media trial" in connection with the case.
SP general secretary Amar Singh said "It is not fair to point the needle of suspicion at Mahajan," adding it was for the minister to decide whether or not to resign from the government.
Munna said congress had demanded Mahajan's resignation on moral grounds pending an inquiry into the allegations levelled by absconding IPS officer R K Sharma's wife against him.
Uttar Pradesh had been a victim of "vote politics" for the last 13 years and no development had taken place in the state during the successive non-congress regimes, Munna said.
