Indore, June 06: BJP President Jana Krishnamurthy today charged the Madhya Pradesh government with diverting funds allocated under central schemes and asked the government to make public the details about the use of these funds.
"The funds are not reaching the targetted groups. In a few other states, the situation is the same", Krishnamurthy told reporters here.
He demanded that the government table in the legislative assembly detailed information about funds allocated under various central schemes and its utilisation.
In many schemes, the matching grant deposited by the state governments in a particular account was later diverted for some other purpose, he alleged.
With regard to chalking out strategies for assembly polls due in various states, including Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, the BJP president said it would be decided in due course.
"Congress defeat in Goa Assembly polls and problems in Maharashtra are just the beginning. Let us see how many more states follow suit", Krishnamurthy added.
