Jammu, Nov 24: Two hardcore militants, self-styled commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) outfit, were killed while a militant hideout was busted and explosives, including 25 kgs of RDX, seized in separate incidents in Jammu division, official sources said here Saturday.
Security forces, on specific information, launched an operation in Surankote area of Poonch district this morning. The hiding ultras there engaged them in an encounter in which the two militants were killed, they said.

The slain militants have been identified as "district commander" Shamir Khan and "area commander" Tahir Rathore alias Jaffar Rathore, both belonging to Pakistan. Two AK-56 rifles, ammunition and handgrenades were recovered from them, the sources said.
Security forces busted a hideout in Kishtwar area of Doda district Friday evening and seized about 25 kgs of RDX, they said.
In another search operation, security forces recovered one magazine, 33 rounds, a Chinese handgrenade, ten pencil cells and a photo album of militants in Gool area of Udhampur district, the sources said. Bureau Report
