Pakistan would take part in an international defence exhibition being held in Abu Dhabi from March 18 and display its pilotless aircraft and other indigenously produced military hardware.
Besides the aircraft, which Pakistan extensively uses for reconnaissance at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, defence ordinance factories and the Kahuta Research Laboratories (KRL) have been granted permission by the government to display their wares in the four-day exhibition, which is expected to attract buyers from across the world, Urdu newspaper 'Jang' reported on Friday.
The inclusion of KRL is interesting as the country's nuclear plant is considered to be the nerve centre of Pakistan's nuclear weaponisation programme.

Pakistan's decision to aggressively market its military hardware comes after military ruler Parvez Musharraf's government decided to make use of its extensive manufacturing facilities to export to smaller countries in order to earn precious foreign exchange.
The country has recently signed a 40 million contract with Malaysia to export a host of military equipment. It has also exported modern weapons such as multi-barrel rockets to Sri Lanka, which has provided a decisive edge to the island's army to tame the LTTE.
