Lahore, June 19: Kudip Nayyar, the head of a delegation of Indian legislators, on a rare visit to rival Pakistan, today said the uneasy neighbors should sort out their disputes without outside mediation. ``We should not wait for someone to come from outside and resolve our issues,'' Nayyar told the associated press in an interview. ``We have to address all of our issues on our own.'' Nayyar and six other Indian lawmakers arrived in the eastern city of Lahore to Tuesday, on the first leg of a seven-day unofficial tour to promote peace between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
Last month Pakistani lawmakers paid a similar visit to India.
"Anybody who comes from the outside would only exploit the situation for their own gains,'' Nayyar said.
