Sept 20: GSE Racing will pull out of the World Superbike Championship at the end of this season.
The news is a further blow to the struggling series, which is being eclipsed by MotoGP.
GSE, who run the HM Plant Ducati team, with James Toseland and Chris Walker as their riders, failed to attract full factory support from Ducati.
GSE, who run the HM Plant Ducati team, with James Toseland and Chris Walker as their riders, failed to attract full factory support from Ducati.
Team boss Darrell Healey said: "There are no other manufacturer options open to us."
GSE nurtured Troy Bayliss and Neil Hodgson in their role as an official Ducati satellite team with both going on to win World Superbike titles.
Healey blamed the rise of the rival MotoGP championship for some of World Superbike's ills, although he claimed the series' new rules package had not been satisfactory.
