Opposition allege corruption in famine relief in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Mar 06: The Opposition members in Rajasthan Assembly today shouted anti-government slogans alleging corruption in famine relief works and government inaction in punishing the guilty.

BJP member Manik Chand Surana alleged there were at least
500 cases of corruption and in his constituency alone there
was misappropriation of Rs 40 lakh.
Famine relief minister G S Shaktawat said 83 FIRs were registered in two cases in Bikaner district but the Opposition members shouted slogans against the government disrupting the proceedings for almost 15 minutes. They accused the government of not taking any action against the guilty.
The minister later assured the house that the cases would be speedily dealt with.
The Opposition also alleged corruption in Indra Gandhi canal project works.
