Bhopal, June 14: At least 10 persons were injured when Congress and BJP workers clashed outside the city mayor's official residence here today. "The clash took place after about 200 BJP workers marched to mayor Vibha Patel's residence carrying empty pitchers to protest against the water shortage in the city," City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ajay Pandey said. The BJP workers had not given any information about their plan to stage a demonstration outside the mayor's residence, Pandey said adding, the workers pushed aside the watchman at the mayor's residence and after forcibly entering the premises, began pelting stones. Some congress workers, who were present in Patel's residence, threw back the stones at the BJP workers, he said. At least 10 persons received minor injuries in this cross stone-pelting.
No arrests have been made till now, Pandey added. Bureau Report
