Eminent Hindi critic Ramswarup Chaturvedi dead
New Delhi, July 25: Eminent Hindi critic Ramswarup Chaturvedi died of a heart attack in Allahabad today, family sources said.

sources said.
He was 72 and is survived by wife and three sons.
Chaturvedi had been admitted to Allahabad's Nazareth Hospital four days ago after he suffered his third cardiac attack and was to be brought to Delhi for further treatment, but he expired in the afternoon at the hospital itself.
A recipient of "Sadhana" and "Vyaas" Samman, Chaturvedi was born in Kanpur and completed his education from Allahabad University, where he later went on to become a teacher. He had also served as the editor of noted Hindi journals like "Naye Patte" and "Nayi Kavita" and was closely associated with "Hindi Sahitya Kosh", an encyclopedia of Hindi literature, which was first published in the early 50's.
