New Delhi, May 08: Rejecting an allegation in the Rajya Sabha that minority communities were harassed in the name of illegal migrants, government today said the Centre was working in close collaboration with state governments to tackle the migrants problem. Answering supplementaries during Question Hour, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha said it was wrong to say minorities were harassed in the name of illegal migrants. "There is a process to identify them and deport them. So it is not right to say minorities are harassed," he said. Earlier, Minister of State for External Affairs Vinod Khanna said the government was concerned over the large-scale illegal immigration from Bangladesh to India. “The government has been taking up the issue of illegal immigration with Bangladesh regularly. However, Bangladesh has been denying that large scale illegal immigration is taking place," he said.
