Rome, Nov 30: Inter Milan coach Alberto Zaccheroni has denied that his side's midweek thrashing by Arsenal will affect them as they prepared to face Juventus in Turin yesterday.
''The fact remains that in Serie A we're calmer and so we make fewer errors,'' Zaccheroni was quoted as saying on La Gazzetta Dello Sport's website Friday.
''I feel there's too much pessimism around the team. The difference between me and the critics is that I've got faith in my squad. They don't.''
Inter's 5-1 defeat by Arsenal was the heaviest suffered by an Italian side in the Champions League and ended a series of positive results since Zaccheroni took over from Hector Cuper last month.
Under the new coach Inter have taken 10 points from their last four League matches without conceding a goal, climbing to fourth place in the standings.

But the real test facing Zaccheroni is whether he can lead Inter to victory against their title rivals -- something his predecessor failed to achieve.

Juve are unbeaten in 16 matches but Zaccheroni insisted that his side could test the champions.

''Even they (Juve) aren't perfect,'' he said. ''They're top because they've made the fewest errors. But they also have weak points.''

His task, however, has been complicated by an injury to central defender Marco Materazzi, while recent history appears stacked against the visitors.

In the last 10 years Inter have only scored one league goal -- a penalty -- against Juventus in Turin on their way to eight defeats and two draws.
