Pune, Nov 14: A city court has reserved orders till tomorrow on the bail application of Manoj Mehta, an alleged agent of the prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi in the multi-crore fake stamp paper racket.
The chief public prosecutor, Raja Thakre in his argument opposed his bail applications on the grounds that the accused was in touch with Telgi and his (Mehta's) voice was in the tapes that were submitted by the karnataka government.

He also rebutted the defence counsel plea that Mehta should be granted bail on the grounds that his parents were old and that he had no previous crime record and assured that he would not abscond if granted bail.

Meanwhile, the hearing on the bail application of the Telegu Desam Party (TDP) mla and former Andhra Pradesh minister, Krishna Yadav, allegedly involved in the case, has been deferred to November 19 by the court today.

Yadav was arrested by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) from Hyderabad on Sept 6, brought to Pune and remanded to police custody from time to time.
The hearing on the bail application of senior police inspector of crime branch, Datta Dal has also been postponed to November 29. Dal was arrested on August 21 and remanded to police custody.
