Tirupati, Oct 02: Three civil liberties activists have been picked up for questioning by police in connection with yesterday's landmine blasts in which Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and four others were hurt. N V Prasad, D V Prasad and Hari Prasad belonging to Andhra Pradesh civil liberties committee, a body often accused siding with extreme left groups, were taken to an undisclosed destination from their residence, their wives complained.

The police suspect these activists of having links with the people's war group, which is suspected to be behind yesterday's blasts in the foothills of the Venkateswara Shrine.
