Jammu, June 11: Police today shot dead four Pakistani intruders in R S Pura sub-sector along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here. A group of Pakistani intruders, who had entered the Indian territory around 0200 hours, were challenged by a police party at Sangral border out post (BOP), the sources said.
When the intruders tried to escape from the area, policemen fired on them killing four of them on the spot, they said.
Some currency and documents have been recovered, the sources said adding Pakistani troops are sending "pilot intruders" via IB before sending armed mercenaries into Jammu and Kashmir.
