IBM unveils `Express` software for small firms
Amsterdam, June 26: US computer company International Business Machines on Tuesday launched software and financing facilities aimed to win over medium-sized businesses, as it competes with US rival Microsoft.
Amsterdam, June 26: US computer company International Business Machines on Tuesday launched software and financing facilities aimed to win over medium-sized businesses, as it competes with US rival Microsoft.
The products, under the brand name 'Express', "have been designed for the growing mid-market customer segment and will include a new flexible financing model, as well as new software, PC and server product offerings," IBM said in a statement.
IBM, coping with a stagnant computer industry and traditionally focused on large enterprises, makes the so-called middleware software which is used to connect different computers and applications seamlessly.
One product, called WebSphere Commerce Express, allows businesses to create and manage e-commerce sites. Bureau Report
