Visakhapatnam, July 09: All-out measures are being taken by the Andhra Pradesh government to control the outbreak of viral fever in certain parts of the state, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said today. A senior officer has been appointed to monitor the situation and all the government medical practitioners in the affected areas have been alerted to go to the affected villages. Also, talks are being held with New Delhi-based National Institute of Communicable Diseases to help the state government fight the disease, he told reporters here.
The chief minister said the disease has affected a large number of children in Karim Nagar, part of Nizamabad and Warangal districts. It has been found that the disease has symptoms like malaria.
All panchayat presidents and its secretaries have been asked to ensure cleanliness in their areas. Bureau Report
