Kukreja denies giving any statement to police
New Delhi, Nov 20: A key witness in the Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, Suresh Kumar Kukreja today denied having given any statement to the police during investigation but soon after affirmed certain facts in the statement attributed to him.

Upon cross examination by special public prosecutor S K
Saxena, Kukreja, who is also a family friend of prime accused
and senior IPS officer R K Sharma told additional sessions
judge Sunil Gaur that he had never given any statement to
police during the investigation of the case.
However, when referred to a part of the statement wherein
it was so recorded that he had "offered" to Sharma to come
and stay at a residential flat attached to his office in Pune,
when the IPS officer was there in connection with a training
programme, Kukreja said this fact was true. He reiterated that
he had not given the statement to police.
Asked who else in his family apart from himself knew
about this "offer", Kukreja said his father also knew about
it.
His evidence could not be completed as Sharma complained of uneasiness following which the court sent him for medical examination.
