New Delhi, Oct 27: Police have recovered 2.18 kg of heroin worth about Rs 2.25 crore in the international market and nabbed two persons in this connection. Acting on a tip-off, sleuths of the Narcotics branch arrested Ram Narayan (61) from the vicinity of the Military Officer's Club near Dhaula Kuan and seized 2 kg of the contraband from him, police said here.
Upon interrogation, Narayan revealed that he was active in drug trade since over 15 years.
Though he was dealing in opium earlier, he switched over to heroin trade to make more money, police claimed.
The accused also admitted that he got his supply from one Ashok Mandsaur, who was a big opium dealer and heroin producer.
In another incident, police arrested Sunil Kumar from the Kashmriri Gate ISBT and seized 185 grams of heroin from him, police added.
