Amarinder Singh defends Digvijay over power crisis
Indore, Nov 15: Defending Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, his Punjab counterpart, Capt, Amarinder Singh said here today that power crisis has not affected Madhya Pradesh alone but many other states including even Punjab.

The Punjab chief minister told the Indore Press Club that every state in the country was facing a resource crunch as the major amount of state revenue was spent on debt servicing only.
Capt. Singh said that even the Punjab government was able to provide power for only four to five hours each day in villages as Punjab had a shortfall of 2000 mw against a total demand of 6500 mw.
Referring to the delay in execution of hydro-power projects in Madhya Pradesh leading to the crisis, he said that the Naptha-Jakhri power project in Punjab was yet to be completed although construction on it began way back in 1964.

The Punjab Chief Minister, who will be touring the state for three days to woo the punjabi community in favour of the Congress said that as per his feedback the party will return to power in all the four poll-bound states. The Punjbai community would support the congress, he claimed.
Singh would be addressing political meetings from tomorrow in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Dabra, Shivpuri and Gohad.
