Kolkata, Mar 11: Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi today said that the outcome of the excavation at the disputed site in Ayodhya should be accepted by all parties. The Shankaracharya said though excavations were carried out in the past at the site, "I don't know what came out. This time whatever comes out should be accepted by all."

"God is still existing in the site. Now he is in a makeshift hut. Later, he will be installed in a temple," the Shankaracharya told reporters after the inauguration of an eye hospital here.
The high court had on March 05 ordered the ASI to undertake excavations at the disputed site within a week and complete the process within a month to ascertain whether a temple existed at the place where Babri Masjid was built.
Describing the Allahabad High Court order in excavation of the sire as "a just and balanced move," he said it was wrong on the part of 'some groups' to oppose it.
Asked if he would meet the Prime Minister to discuss the Ayodhya issue, the Sankaracharya said, "Whenever the call comes and opportunity beckons, I will." Bureau Report
