New Delhi, Nov 18: BJP will unleash its star power for the December one assembly election in the capital with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani addressing rallies here after party president Vankaiah Naidu kickstarts the poll campaign with a public meeting in Chandni Chowk today.
Vajpayee is scheduled to address a rally each in Chirag Dilli in South Delhi and Rajouri Garden in West Delhi on Thursday, party's spokesman V K Malhotra said yesterday.
Advani will address nine rallies across the capital on Friday and November 27, he said.
Congress will also announce today the schedule of rallies to be addressed by party chief Sonia Gandhi and other senior leaders, including Chief Ministers of various states.

Besides, BJP will field party's new Hindutva 'Mascot' Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda to address some public meetings in Delhi.



BJP's film-star members Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Dara singh and newly-nominated Rajya Sabha member Hema Malini will also hit the streets in support of party candidates.



The party has prepared special tableaux depicting the infamous tandoor incident in which former Delhi Congress leader Sushil Sharma had murdered and cut into pieces his wife, Dengue disease outbreak and Congress government's alleged corruption in power sector.
