Chennai, Oct 04: A designated judge today extended the remand of MDMK chief Vaiko, who was detained under Pota, upto October nine. Accepting the prosecution request for extension of remand for eight others, the Pota court judge Rajendran extended the remand of others upto Oct 28, MDMK spokesman N Nanmaran said.
Vaiko was detained on July 11 under Pota for allegedly making a pro-LTTE speech in a public meeting at Thirumangalam near Madurai, while others were arrested earlier.
Vaiko will be completing 90 days in prison on Oct nine.
