Berlin, May 28: Coinciding with the visit of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Germany, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has launched a new website on Indo-German business relations as its president Anand Mahindra is leading a high-level 20-member delegation of chief executive officers here. The highlight of the CII visit to Germany will be the business meet organised by the Asia Pacific Committee of German Business with the Federation of German Industries in Munich which will be addressed by the Prime Minister.
External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha and Commerce and Industry Minister Arun Jaitley will also participate in an interactive panel discussion as part of the business meet which will be used to emphasise opportunities in the Indian market for German investments and update German industry on recent policy developments in India.
In addition, the delegation will also meet with Haans Spitzner, state secretary, ministry for economy, transport and technology, Bavaria, to discuss ways to strengthen linkages and enhance collaboration between Bavaria and India.
The delegation also met Federal Minister of Economic and Labour Wolfgang Clement.
The primary objectives of the CII mission are to highlight the strong performance of the Indian economy and impress upon German industry and policy makers, India's attractiveness as a competitive investment destination, a CII statement said. Bureau Report
