Union Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Babu Lal Marandi said in Giridih on Monday that talks would be initiated with the ultras if the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) came to power in Jharkhand. Mr Marandi said that the new state could not develop without restoration of peace and harmony in the society. The NDA government would adopt a two pronged strategy for the development of the new state. A short-term policy would focus on constructing roads and other basic facilities in the region while a long-term policy would emphasize on the development of human resources, as stated by him. He also emphasized on the power sector getting a special boost in Jharkhand and Industrialists would be encouraged to invest capital in the new state. Bureau Report
