The toll in the recent hooch tragedy in Kerala rose to 35 with the death of a person on Tuesday even as six persons with symptoms of liquor poisoning were admitted at the Medical College Hospital in Kerala, hospital sources said. Ashokan, belonging to Kalluvathukal in Kollam, was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of liquor poisoning on October 22. The six victims belonged to different parts of Kollam and Thiruvanthapuram districts, the sources said. About 40 persons were now under treatment in the hospital for illness connected with the killer brew and condition of one person was stated to be serious. Bureau Report
