Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and have an interface with the captains of the industry in Mumbai during the two-day visit to the commercial capital beginning from October 4.

Mr Putin, who is leading a high-level delegation, arrived at New Delhi on Monday. On his arrival in Mumbai on Wednesday, he will be welcomed by Maharashtra Governor Dr P C Alexander, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, his Deputy Chhagan Bhujbal and senior protocol officers, sources at the state secretariat said.
The Russian President will address a joint session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in Mumbai.

Later, he will visit various facilites of the premier nuclear research and development organisations of the country, BARC sources told UNI.

He is likely to visit the ''Dhruva'' reactor and address top nuclear scientists and technocrats. Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Dr R Chidambaram and BARC Director Dr Anil Kakodkar will be present on the occasion.
