Film producer Nasim Rizvi, charged with alleged nexus with underworld, was on Friday produced before a special court by Enforcement Directorate (ED), and was remanded to jail custody till Saturday.
ED had sought his custody for two days to interrogate him on alleged hawala deals. Rizvi was questioned on Thursday and on Friday by ED officials at their office.
ED officials informed the designated Judge A P Bhangale that interrogations were not yet over and that they still needed his custody for a day.
The judge has allowed ED`s plea to interrogate him further but directed that he be produced before the court for judicial remand which is getting over on Saturday.
The police have charged Rizvi and his assistant Abdul Rahim Allah Baksh with developing links with Karachi-based gangster Chota Shakeel to establish the rule of underworld in Bollywood.
Police claim to have recorded telephonic conversation between the trio on Bollywood-underworld nexus.
