At least 27 persons were injured in a series of clashes between CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress supporters in Vajachauli village during the last two days, a senior police officer said in Midnapore. Midnapore superintendent of police Gourab Dutta said the tussle started when TC supporters attacked CPI(M) supporters with guns and bombs over some petty dispute. Three injured CPI(M) supporters were admitted to hospital in a critical condition, he said. Raids are on to arrest the culprits, while a police picket had been posted in the village. Bureau Report
