Employees of the newspaper industry on Monday decided to hold a demonstration in New Delhi on Thursday to demand immediate notification of the recommendations of the Manisana Singh Wage Boards for journalists and non-journalists.

" The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Coordination Committee of Newspapers and News Agencies Employees Unions and Delhi units of the unions," the committee said in a release.
"The unions expressed grave concern at the delay saying the wage boards had submitted their reports in July. The unions are demanding immediate notification of the recommendations by the government after carrying out necessary modifications as sought by the unions," It added.
