Former Prime Minster P V Narasimha Rao, Union Ministers L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi have been summoned by the Liberhan Commission of Inquiry that is probing the demolition of the Babri Masjid at Ayodhya. The Commission headed by Justice M S Liberhans, on Thursday, recorded statement of Union Sports Minister Uma Bharti on the matter. He has asked Joshi to appear on December 19 and 20, Rao on December 26 and 27and Adavani to testify before it on December 29. Uma Bharti, in her deposition, said she was in favour of construction of Ram temple at the disputed site at Ayodhya but the issue, being "emotive" should be sorted out through dialogue. Bureau Report
