Panaji: Mandrem is one of the 40 legislative assembly seats of the Goa. The single phase Assembly Elections 2017 in this BJP-ruled coastal state were held on February 4 and the results for which will be announced on March 11.

Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar is contesting from the Mandrem Constituency in North Goa. He is pitted against Dayanand Raghunath Sopte of Congress and Devendra Krishnaji Prabhu Parsekar Desai (AAP).


Parsekar is confident that his party will win with comfortable majority in the 40-seat Goa Assembly. Mandrem election result 2017 will be declared along with other 4 states on March 11.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded its Chief Ministerial Candidate Elvis Gomes to contest Cuncolim constituency in south Goa. 


As per Mandrem Election Results 2012, Laxmikant Parsekar was declared winner on Mandrem MLA seat. Parsekar secured 11955 votes against his nearest Congress rival Dayanand Raghunath Sopte who bagged 8520 total votes.

The vote margin between Laxmikant Parsekar and Dayanand Raghunath Sopte in 2012 was 3435.

Goa is witnessing three-cornered electoral battle between ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and new entrant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). 


A new three-party political alliance between the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), Shiv Sena and Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) is also in fray. Sacked ex RSS state chief Subhash Velingkar has floated his political outfit, Goa Suraksha Manch to take on BJP here.
