Poriem Assembly Election Results 2017: Congress candidate wins

Panaji: Assembly constituency number 18 is assigned to Poriem Vidhan Sabha. In Poriem Assembly elections 2017, sitting MLA Pratapsingh Rane of INC is pitted against Suhas Gajanan Naik (MGP), Vishwajit Krishnarao Rane (BJP) and Sitaram Anant Gawas (AAP).

In Poriem election results 2012, Pratapsingh Raoji Rane was declared winner here. Rane secured 13772 votes and defeated his nearest BJP contender Vishwajit Krishna Rao Rane who bagged 11225 total votes. 

BJP and INC are main competitors here. 

Poriem election result 2017 will be declared along with other 4 states on March 11. 

Both the candidates Pratapsingh Raoji Rane and Vishwajit Krishna Rao Rane have very good voter base in Poriem. 

The vote margin between Pratapsingh Raoji Rane and Vishwajit Krishna Rao Rane in 2012 was 2547. 

In Poriem election results 2007, Rane Pratapsingh Raoji of INC was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly. Rane Pratapsingh Raoji got 10605, whereas Vassudeo Ramnath Parab managed to secure 6869 votes.
