On Monday, Singh had sentenced the Dera chief to 10 years each for the rape of two disciples.

The judge reportedly received threats after the sentencing, which prompted the government to extend his security cover, the Economic Times reported.

On August 28, Ram Rahim was found guilty of rape on two counts.

In the light of August 25 riots, the CBI judge was especially flown to the Rohtak jail for the sentencing.

The Z plus security is the highest among the four levels of security cover in India. The Z+ reportedly comprises 55 personnel, including about 10 National Security Guard commandos and police personnel.
