Sohna: In yet another incident highlighting the grim situation of the safety of women in the country, a woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car in Sohna, Haryana, before she was thrown out in Greater Noida.

Police have begun a probe into the incident. However, no FIR is lodged yet.


The 35-year-old woman was found lying near Yatharth building in Kasna, Greater Noida​.


Locals on Tuesday morning noticed her lying along a road and alerted the police. 


According to the primary information, the woman, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, was in Sohna to meet a relative. At around 8-8:30 pm yesterday, three men, driving a Swift car, dragged her inside and raped her on the roads of Sohna.


The Uttar Pradesh Police later took the woman to Gurugram to verify the sequence of events. 

Senior Superintendent of Police Love Kumar said although she sustained some abrasions on her body, they were awaiting a final medical examination. 

"A team of officers have taken her to Sohna from where she was allegedly abducted," the officer said. 


Greater Noida and Gurugram police will jointly investigate the crime.
