Four Dead, Five Critical As Lift Falls In Under Construction Building In Greater Noida

Four people died after a lift fell in an under construction Amrapali society in Bisrakh area of Uttar Pradesh`s Greater Noida.

New Delhi: Four people died and five more are said to be critical after a lift of an under construction building crashed to the ground in Bisrakh area of Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida on Friday. The incident occurred at a construction site of Amrapali Builders in Greater Noida. “Four people have lost their lives and five more are battling for their lives at a city hospital,” Greater Noida’s district magistrate Manish Verma told ANI.

He said that a probe was being conducted into the cause of the lift collapse. “We have sent a police team to the hospital where the injured are undergoing treatment. Another team is at the spot of the accident and there is no one else trapped or stranded. We are ensuring proper care for the injured,” he added.
