Terrorist gunned down in encounter with security forces in J&K`s Anantnag

Three terrorists have reportedly been trapped, said news agency ANI.

Srinagar: A terrorist has been gunned down by the security forces in an ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. The encounter was launched early on Friday.

More terrorists are reportedly trapped in the area, said news agency ANI. The gunfight has been initiated in the district's Kokernag area following a tip-off.

The terrorist, who has been killed, is believed to be a member of the JeM terror outfit. He is reportedly a Pakistani national.

A huge quantity of ammunition and incriminating material have been seized from the site of encounter.

The JeM terrorist was involved in several attacks on security forces and civilians in the area.
