Coronavirus death toll rises to 9 in India, 16,113 globally

India is going through partial lockdown as government has shut major transportation facilities like railways and metros and sealed more than 75 districts in 22 States and Union Territories to ensure social distancing.

This means that some or all of Uber services might not be available in your city.

     

  • UAE: As per government’s directive, Emirates will temporarily suspend all passenger services from March 25, 2020.

  • Ministry of External Affairs on Monday said that the video conference of senior health professionals of South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries is proposed to be held on March 26.

    The Conference would be held to exchange experiences of combating coronavirus thus far, including specific protocols dealing with the screening at entry points, contact tracing, quarantine and isolation facilities, said the Ministry.

Railway Board has decided that in all such cases the stay may be extended in super session of the rule that limits the number of days a passenger can stay in a retiring rooms.. This relaxation shall be in force till normal train services resume. All Station Masters are being conveyed this instruction quickly for the benefit of stranded passengers .''

Delhi, Jharkhand, Punjab and Nagaland declared a statewide lockdown by closing all school,colleges,offices,malls exempting only essential services. Similar steps were also taken in a number of districts in Bihar, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal as an preventive measure to COVID-19 spread. 


Meanwhile the total number of cases across globe has gone up to 2,08,206 with Italy remaing the hardest hit country after China with 53,578 cases.
