J&K reports highest single-day tally with 4,716 cases of which 1518 from Jammu division and 3198 from Kashmir division. Nearly 52 deaths were reported during last twenty four hours, 28 from Jammu and 24 from from Kashmir division. Around 2338 patients recovered.

State chief Dilip Ghosh will also hold a sit-in protest at Hastings Office in Kolkata over the alleged killings of BJP workers during the violence that occurred in the wake of the West Bengal Assembly election results.
