The total number of coronavirus cases in India stands at 6,412 which includes 5,709 active cases, 503 recovered cases, 1 migrant patient and 199 deaths as per the Ministry of Health`s latest data.

    We also need the schedule regarding the quantity of protective gear, we will receive from the Centre, so that we can think of arranging the remaining quantity if shortage still persists.

  • UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson left intensive care on Thursday evening as he continues to recover from COVID-19, but he remains under close observation in hospital, his office said on Thursday. Johnson, 55, was admitted to St Thomas` Hospital on Sunday evening with a persistent high temperature and cough and was rushed to intensive care on Monday where he spent three nights receiving treatment.

  • Jammu and Kashmir: The total number of coronavirus cases rises to 188. 4 people from the family of first women corona patient in the territory also tested positive. 36 COVID-19 cases have been reported from the Jammu division and 152  cases have been reported in Kashmir.

     

  • Gautam Buddh Nagar: Online deliveries of milk and groceries allowed in the entire district as many areas remain sealed due to coronavirus outbreak. 

  • India Railways: The Indian Railways are preparing isolation coaches in West Bengal's Howrah to fight the coronavirus outbreak. The coaches are placed at Tikiapara EMU car shed in the South Eastern Railway zone. Earlier, the state reported 12 new positive coronavirus cases. Menawhile, a decision on the possible extension of the nation-wide lockdown is awaited while Odisha and Punjab state governments announced an extension in the lockdown in their states till May 1. Delhi and Maharashtra have banned venturing out withhout masks and said violators will invite arrest. PM Modi is expected to discuss the situation with the chief ministers of states in a video conference meeting on Saturday.
