As per the Ministry of Health data, the coronavirus cases in India stands at 5,48,318 including 2,10,120 active cases, 3,21,723 cured/discharged/migrated and 16,475 deaths.

  • Maharashtra: There were 5,257 new cases today that took the total to 1,69,883. Death count increased by 181 to 7,610.

    Mumbai: Total cases - 76,765; death count at 4,463. 

  • Tamil Nadu extends lockdown till July 31. Total lockdown that was imposed in Chennai, 3 adjoining districts and southern districts of Madurai and Theni to continue until July 5. After July 5, the general lockdown that applies to rest of the state will apply in Chennai, 3 adjoining districts and southern districts of Madurai and Theni.

     

  • Kerala: 121 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, taking the total number of cases to 4,311. The number of active cases stands at 2,057. 

  • Tamil Nadu: 3,949 new cases take the total to 86,224; active count at 37331. Toll at 1,141.

    Chennai: Capital reports 2,167 new cases; total 55,969 now while 21,681 are active cases.

  • Uttar Pradesh: In the last 24 hours, 685 new cases have been reported in the state. There are now 6,650 active cases and 672 deaths.

  • Haryana to start Plasma Therapy for treatment of Covid-19 Patients in all its medical colleges after approval from ICMR.
     

  • Maharashtra: COVID-19 lockdown extended till July 31. The restrictions and relaxations that were there before, should be followed the same way till July 31.

     

  • Himachal Pradesh: 3 new positive cases of  COVID-19 detected in the state, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 919 including 365 active cases, 534 recoveries and 7 deaths. (ANI input)

India on Monday (June 29, 2020) recorded more than 19,000 COVID-19 cases in a single day taking the total tally to 5.48 lakh. This for the sixth consecutive day that India recorded more than 15,000 coronavirus infection. The country saw a surge of 3,38,324 infections from June 1 till date.

As per the Ministry of Health data, the coronavirus cases in India stands at 5,48,318 including 2,10,120 active cases, 3,21,723 cured/discharged/migrated, and 16,475 deaths. The data showed 19,459 new cases, while 380 persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.


According to the ICMR, a cumulative total of 83,98,362 samples have been tested up to June 28 and 1,70,560 samples have been tested on Sunday.


Meanwhile tightening their containment strategy, state like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh announced a door-to-door survey joining other states and union territories, including Delhi, Goa, and Odisha, while a 14-day lockdown began from Sunday evening in Guwahati in Assam.


The coronavirus outbreak across the globe crossed the 1 crore mark. on Sunday (June 28) evening.
