  • Air India Case: Shankar Mishra fired by employer Wells Fargo

    Shankar Mishra, the man accused of peeing on an elderly co-passenger on an Air India flight, has been terminated by his employer Wells Fargo. The American multinational firm issued a statement terminating the services of Mishra. The company took cognizance of the incident on November 26 on the New York-Delhi and took action against their employee, mentioning that they find these allegations "deeply disturbing". 

  • 'Sinking' Joshimath: CM Dhami orders immediate deployment of NDRF

    The Uttarakhand government has given instructions for the deployment of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel survey in the landslide-affected areas of the ancient town of Joshimath. It may be noted that cracks have appeared in as many as 561 houses, hotels and shops of the city, which is said to have been established by Shankaracharya centuries ago, due to frequent landslides.

    Meanwhile, a team of experts and scientists have begun conducting a house-to-house survey in the landslide-affected areas of Joshimath in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also called a high-level meeting to assess the situation.

    Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday targeted the BJP-led government at the Centre over a host of issues including Agniveer Scheme, Unemployment and GST. Speaking at a public meeting in Haryana's Panipat during his Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said that "earlier a soldier used to serve the country for 15 years and proper training was imparted and retirement benefits were given but now after 5 years he will be unemployed." The Congress MP also launched a scathing attack at the Modi govt over demonetisation and GST. He said, "demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST) were not policies but weapons to destroy small and medium businesses. 

  • Kanjhawala Accident: Delhi Police nabs all seven accused

    Delhi Police on Friday arrested all the seven accused in the Kanjhawala road accident case. Seventh accused Ankush Khanna surrendered before the authorities at the Sultanpuri Police Station. The cops earlier arrested the sixth accused in the horrific incident in Khanjawala on New Year`s night where a 20-year-old woman - Anjali Singh - died after being dragged for several kilometres by a car that hit her scooter.

  • Plane Crashed Accident: Pilot Training Company

    A pilot died early Friday in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa after his plane collided into a temple. Chorhata was the location of the incident. Following the accident, the pilot was badly injured and was transported to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where he died. A pilot training company owned the jet.
