PM Narendra Modi visited his home state Gujarat on Sunday during which he met his mother Heeraben at her Gandhinagar residence and took her blessings after the BJP-led NDA registered a massive victory in the 2019 polls. After Gujarat, the PM is scheduled to visit his Lok Sabha seat - Varanasi - on Monday to thank voters for their support to his party

After Gujarat, the PM is scheduled to visit his Lok Sabha seat - Varanasi - on Monday to thank voters for their support to his party. While the mood is upbeat in the BJP,  there is a visible disappointment in the Congress camp after the party suffered a crushing blow in the election. Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Saturday was all about assessing the reason for defeat with Rahul Gandhi reportedly offering to resign.
