Hindustani classical singer Pandit Chhannulal Mishra casts his vote in Varanasi and appeals to the public to come out and vote in large numbers.
"Each vote counts," he told ANI.
Anupriya Patel casts vote
Union minister and Apna Dal (Sonelal), National President, Anupriya Patel casts her vote in Mirzapur district.
"I am assured that all 5 seats in the constituency will be won by our NDA candidates," she said.

Polling, which started at 7 AM, is being held peacefully in Azamgarh, Mau, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Bhadohi and Sonbhadra districts.
8.58% voter turnout recorded till 9 am
Uttar Pradesh has recorded an average of 8.58% voter turnout in the first two hours of polling in the last phase. The highest turnout was seen in the Mau and Jaunpur districts.

Key candidates in 7th phase
State Tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari is fighting from the Varanasi South seat. Other ministers in the fray in the last leg are Anil Rajbhar (Shivpur-Varanasi), Ravindra Jaiswal (Varanasi North), Girish Yadav (Jaunpur) and Ramashankar Singh Patel (Marihan-Mirzapur).
Dara Singh Chauhan, who had resigned from the Yogi Adityanath cabinet and joined the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP, is contesting from Ghosi in Mau.
SBSP president Om Prakash Rajbhar (Zahoorabad), Dhananjay Singh (Malhani-Jaunpur) as the JD(U) candidate and Abbas Ansari, the son of mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, from Mau Sadar seat, are also contesting in the last phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.

An average of 54.18% per cent voter turnout has been recorded till 5 pm. The voting continued till 6 pm and deciding the fate of as many as 613 candidates. The counting of votes will be done on March 10.
