In the Sagar City Assembly Constituency of Madhya Pradesh, Shailendra Jain from the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged victorious with 74,769 votes, securing a significant lead of 15,021 votes over Smt. Nidhi Sunil Jain of the Indian National Congress, who got 59748 votes.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Rajbahadur Singh triumphed in the Sagar Lok Sabha (MP) seat, surpassing Prabhu Singh Thakur of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 305,542 votes.
