Jammu: A petrol tanker burst into flames after it rolled off the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway into a deep gorge on Friday, the state police said.

According to the police, the tanker, on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, burst into flames as it fell into the gorge after it went out of the driver's control near Banihal town. The driver and the conductor sustained grievous injuries.


"Both the injured persons have been shifted to hospital for treatment," a police officer said.
